Koi Footwear is an environmentally conscious, cruelty-free footwear and accessories brand that uses 100% vegan leathers throughout their designs. The quirky ‘push the boundaries’ brand is known for its alternative, contemporary, and vibrant designs that are always the first to stand out amongst the crowd.
Working with One Tribe, Koi Footwear was able to launch a successful climate action campaign that increased product sales in just seven days.
Reduce carbon footprint
The eCommerce brand’s goal with One Tribe was to effectively increase conversion rates and sales online by using a range of climate action incentives that remained true to the brand’s values and helped them lower their carbon footprint.
Koi Footwear had the objective to allow customers to have a positive impact when shopping online while also using on-site promotion tools alongside a sustainability campaign to increase product sales. It was important for Koi Footwear to showcase its commitment to the environment in multiple ways that would actively demonstrate its impact on the environment and lower its carbon footprint in a fun and creative way.
Koi chose a specific range of products from their online shop to cumulate a ‘climate action’ collection named the Planet Protectors range that would incentivise customers to buy more sustainable products. To launch the collection, One Tribe provided climate-specific messaging for Koi to create a vibrant and animated collection of social media posts and stories to showcase their campaign week by week.
Each targeted product sold would protect 60 square metres of rainforest, totalling around 15 trees. This quantifiable metric was measured via a personalised Climate Impact Page created by One Tribe. The page featured real-time data. which tracked the number of trees protected and other public impact statistics including, acres saved, CO2 stored and emissions removed. Aligning Koi Footwear with several United Nations Sustainability Goals.
One Tribe also provided a smaller ‘real-time’ climate impact Tree Counter that tracks the number of trees protected every time a consumer purchase is made.
Saving trees with every item sold and showcasing real-time climate action incentives helped Koi Footwear to connect with its sustainably conscious audience by using interactive sustainability tools. The brand has also been able to drive more revenue with improved conversion rates, reduced acquisition costs and improved customer satisfaction.
Five trees are now protected for every item sold on the Koi Footwear website, helping the brand to reduce its overall carbon footprint, supported by One Tribe’s eCommerce solution. By creating a successful customer engagement campaign, the team at Koi Footwear saw their online sales and conversion rates skyrocket dramatically.
