The project has installed wind turbine generators in three states in India, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Kerala, replacing diesel generators for sustainable energy generation.
With a total capacity of 66 MW, WTGs installed, the focus is on CO2 reduction of an estimated 127,207 tCO2e annually.The project holds tremendous potential for transforming India’s energy landscape. By displacing electricity generated from thermal power stations and replacing diesel generators during power shortage periods, it significantly reduces reliance on fossil fuels and their associated GHG emissions.
By focusing on CO2 reduction, the project aims to mitigate climate change by preventing the release of anthropogenic GHGs. This project not only harnesses the power of wind but also promotes a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to meeting the nation’s power demand.

The project has a strong commitment to environmental and sustainable development that benefit local communities through the following contributions:
ENVIRONMENT
As a renewable source of energy, wind reduces the dependence on fossil fuels and conserves natural resources which are on the verge of depletion. Due to its zero emission the Project activity also helps in avoiding significant amount of GHG emissions
COMMUNITY
The project is committed to social well-being through the development of infrastructure in the region, including improved roads and transport links. The clean energy technology used reduces specific pollutants like SOx, NOx, and SPM associated with conventional thermal power generation facilities and does not negatively impact the health of local communities.
EMPLOYMENT
The project will help generate local employment opportunities during the construction and operation phases.
