1. How Was Think Energy Formulated And Why Did You Choose To Get Into This Industry?

Think Energy was conceived with the idea of making clean, renewable energy simple, easily accessible, and affordable. Recognizing that electricity generation is one of the major contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, we envisioned an opportunity to make a significant difference. This drive led us to acquire Think Energy and foster our ambition to democratize renewable energy access.

2. What Changes Would You Like To Bring To The Industry?

We intend to be an important part of the global energy transition to renewable energy.  In addition to making renewable energy our default choice for consumers, we have proprietary technology that enables us to reward our customers to shift their electricity consumption from peak to off-peak periods when electricity on the grid is more renewable.

3. How Do You Think The Industry Will Change In The Near Future?

In the near future, we foresee a remarkable evolution in the energy industry driven by advancements in green technology and an increased focus on addressing climate change.

This transformation will be characterized by a widespread distribution of energy generation, empowering each household to become an independent energy hub. To adapt to this changing landscape, the industry will require cutting-edge solutions like our technology to enable customers to optimize their energy resources and actively contribute to a more sustainable future.

4. How Does Your Product Work?

Think Energy operates as a retail energy provider, offering electricity plans powered entirely by renewable energy sources. When customers sign up, they’re not just opting for electricity; they’re making a conscientious decision to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Part of this process now includes our work with One Tribe, where every customer that signs up protects 50 trees across forests worldwide.

5. What Problems Does Your Product Solve?

Our product tackles the dual challenge of accessibility and affordability of green energy. We enable customers to transition to a cleaner energy source at an affordable price, thereby making the choice to go green an easy and economically sensible decision.

6. What Do You Hope To Achieve With Think Energy In The Next 5 Years?

In the next 5 years, our primary goal at Think Energy is to empower as many customers as possible to become active contributors in the fight against climate change. We aim to achieve this by providing affordable renewable electricity options and leveraging our innovative technology to enable customers to shift their electricity consumption to off-peak periods when renewable energy sources are abundant. By helping customers become part of the solution, we can collectively make a significant impact in preventing climate change and creating a sustainable future.

7. What New Ideas In The Industry Excite You?

The emergence of smart grid technologies and energy storage solutions is incredibly exciting. These innovations have the potential to revolutionize the way we generate and consume energy, transforming each home into a virtual power plant.

8. What Are You Doing Right Now To Manage Your Environmental Footprint?

At Think Energy, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact. We source 100% of our energy from renewable sources including wind, solar and hydro resources, thereby minimizing CO2 emissions and significantly contributing to our planet’s wellbeing.

We also partner with One Tribe to directly improve our impact on the environment and give back to the planet. We believe in reducing CO2 in any way possible including supporting nature-based solutions to help us combat climate change.

9. What Are Some Of The Problems You Face In This Industry?

Some key challenges include overcoming the perception that renewable energy is a luxury and has to be more expensive and is less reliable than traditional energy sources.

10. How Does Think Energy Aim To Address These Problems And Make A Positive Impact?

Every customer who enrolls with Think Energy becomes part of the solution by protecting 50 trees through our partnership with One Tribe, purchasing 100% renewable electricity sourced from wind, solar and hydro resources and engaging with us through our technology to shift their electricity consumption from peak to off-peak times of the day.

So far we have already protected over 1 million trees with new customers who have chosen to transition to clean energy and drive impact across both environmental sectors; renewables and forest management.
